How much does a Spixl project cost?

Each Spixl project runs on an annual subscription. The subscription grants access to your user profile, which includes tools for managing and monitoring your project, as well as the necessary equipment and hardware for initial set up. Contact us for current pricing.

Who installs my Spixl project?

Once we ship you the phone mount, sign and mounting hardware, you will fix the mount and sign to a 4 x 4-inch post in the ground or another suitable, stable structure.

How do I install the post in the ground?

First, establish that you have permission to install the post at the chosen location. Next, securely install the post. The installation process depends on the location. Consult online resources or watch this video to establish the most suitable method to install your post. (Or hire a professional to complete the job.) A secure post provides an excellent platform for your project. A wobbly or unsecured post will result in movement and poor results.

Where are the best places to put Spixl projects?

Spixl projects work best in locations that offer engaging views to document and regular foot traffic. Harness the power of people to keep your project regularly updated by positioning the post in areas of high activity.

How are projects documented and content uploaded?

Documenting a scene is as simple as fitting a phone in the mount and taking a photo. While still in photo mode, point the phone at the QR code on the sign and you’ll be able to click on a link to upload. The whole process takes around 30 seconds.

How are projects managed?

The user dashboard provides a powerful platform to oversee your project. There you can moderate, approve, delete or download images. Visitor emails can be collated for contacting. We continue to develop statistical tools, including page views, viewer numbers and more.

Do images publish automatically, or do I get a chance to approve them?

Dashboard settings allow you to choose. If the location is public, you will want to moderate pictures. For private locations, you can adjust the settings to allow for automatic uploads without the need for approval.

What about volume? Will I get a notification every time a picture uploads?

Again, the dashboard settings allow for customization. You can adjust settings so you only get one notification a day, no matter how many pictures are uploaded. And you can pick and choose which and how many photos you want to include and delete the rest.

How do I share my project?

Each project page has a share button. Click this button to share your project via direct link, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp or email.

Can I download the content from my project?

If your subscription is active, you can access and download all original content from your user dashboard. At the end of the project, we can even render a .mov video file of the entire process upon request.
